Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications
Wingspan Care Group is a nonprofit organization that provides a unified network of services to support its member agencies. The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for advancing the organization's mission and brand through strategic marketing and communications efforts, managing projects, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary marketing and communications partner for an assigned portfolio of programs, departments, or initiatives
Translate organizational and program goals into effective marketing and communications strategies and plans
Provide strategic counsel to internal leaders on messaging, positioning, and communications approaches
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met
Develop clear, compelling, and mission-aligned messaging that reflects the organization’s values and excellence
Ensure consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all materials and channels
Create and oversee content for a variety of platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, print materials, presentations, and reports
Edit and review content produced by internal partners or external vendors to ensure accuracy and quality
Collaborate with other members of the Marketing team and provide general administrative support of the Development Division
Develop original content for social media, Mailchimp campaigns and other marketing efforts
Attend Development Division meetings
Attend and support all special events of Wingspan agencies
Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material
Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures
Support the planning and execution of annual campaigns and special events
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field
Proficiency in: InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
Commitment to mission and values of the nonprofit agencies
Possess skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date
Demonstrate ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment
Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics
Communicate clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language
Adhere to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; Applies ethical concepts within scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures
Function effectively as a member of a professional team
Recognize problems and responds appropriately and creatively; gathers information and sorts through it to identify and address root cause issues; makes timely decisions
Anticipate, recognize, and meet the needs of others
Demonstrate competence in utilizing Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions. Must have proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
5-7 years in marketing, communications and/or public relations
Demonstrated experience managing projects, account portfolios and working with multiple stakeholders
Nonprofit experience a plus
Travel and work evenings or weekends as necessary
