Responsibilities

Review equipment specifications and designs and identify improvement opportunities
Conduct vendor buyoffs to verify equipment functionality
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
Verify safety, quality, and productivity of manufacturing equipment
Investigate issues, determine modification requirements, and implement countermeasures
Conduct trials and adjust equipment to meet production requirements
Reduce project cost and timeline by validating equipment performance at vendor sites
Oversee vendor installation activities and facilitate workflow processes
Confirm quality results using secondary verification methods
Install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems
Train maintenance personnel on newly implemented equipment
Share technical expertise with maintenance and production teams

Qualification

Required

Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley)
Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs and industrial electrical controls
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to perform physical job demands in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of PLC programming and troubleshooting
2+ years working with electrical circuits and industrial controls
Technical degree in Electrical/Electronics or Industrial Maintenance Technology, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Electronics or Industrial Maintenance Technology, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

Industrial maintenance experience
Knowledge of industrial robot programming and teaching
Experience with AGVs or AMRs
Knowledge of safety scanners and industrial networking protocols
Automotive manufacturing experience
