Responsibilities

Deep understanding and hands-on experience with major PACS platforms (e.g., GE Centricity, Philips IntelliSpace, Sectra, Agfa, Fuji Synapse, Carestream, Merge)
Strong knowledge of DICOM standards, workflows, image routing, and HL7 messaging protocols
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and/or programming experience (C#, Java, .NET) for automation, integration, and customization
Familiarity with SQL and database management, especially related to PACS/RIS/VNA data
Solid grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls) as they pertain to medical imaging and secure data transfer
Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based PACS solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Understanding of healthcare imaging workflows, radiology department operations, and interoperability with EMR/EHR systems
Familiar with HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulations
Proven track record of leading or supporting PACS upgrades, migrations, or major system changes
Experience collaborating with radiologists, clinicians, IT, and vendors to gather requirements and communicate change impacts
Ability to document changes, develop user guides, and provide training to clinical and technical staff
Exposure to agile or waterfall methodologies, and working within structured change control processes (e.g., ITIL)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environments, and adapting to evolving technologies and requirements

Preferred certifications include CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional), PMP, ITIL, or vendor-specific training (GE, Philips, etc.)
Familiarity with local healthcare networks/hospitals is a plus
