Senior Project Control Specialist
PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls activities and support the project management team in delivering projects on time and within budget. This role ensures proper project setup, monitors progress, and maintains accurate reporting across scheduling, cost, and forecasting functions.
Responsibilities
Lead project controls processes with internal project teams
Set up projects and manage data in Enterprise Planning & Controls software
Analyze project data, review logs, and run reports to support project decision-making
Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts
Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control
Serve as a technical point of contact for project-related inquiries
Review and document cost and schedule changes, including purchase orders and subcontracts
Collaborate with Accounting and project teams to review project costs and support audits
Conduct schedule analysis, resource loading, and “what-if” scenario modeling
Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM) and prepare schedule reporting
Develop and maintain earned value management and progress measurement systems
Perform field audits, material takeoffs, and quality checks on project controls deliverables
Assist with forensic analysis and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years of direct project controls experience
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
OSHA 10-hour safety certification or ability to obtain
Must be a U.S. citizen and may not require sponsorship in the future
Preferred
Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6
