NO ON-CALL Maintenance Technician (Mary Hall)

Aeon is a nonprofit developer and manager of affordable communities in the Twin Cities, seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Mary Hall property. The role involves ensuring the physical operations of the apartment community meet Aeon standards, which includes performing general maintenance and repair functions as well as supporting property upkeep.

Responsibilities

The completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general maintenance and repair functions including:
Plumbing
Electrical
Appliance repair
Air handler and general HVAC maintenance
Lock changes
Apartment turnovers
Preventative maintenance
Installation and repair of window coverings, doors, cabinets, light fixtures, etc
Regular trash chute maintenance and management
Regular Inside/outside debris removal
Seasonal duties: light snow removal, salting/sanding

Required

Must have a demonstrated skillset in general apartment maintenance
Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations
Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Must be a resourceful, problem solving, relationship-building, seeker of excellence
Possess a prideful work ethic and be a team player
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance is required
Own basic tools
Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods
Ability to conduct property tours and inspections including but not limited to walking through hallways, stairwells, leasing offices, common areas, and vacant or occupied apartment homes. This may involve navigating multiple floors and uneven surfaces
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to reach above and below shoulder height
Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull
Ability to work in varying external weather conditions
Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property
Candidate must currently have and/or be able to obtain the following certifications within the first six months of employment with Aeon: Special Boiler's License
