They are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to collaborate with experienced software engineers on real systems that power their platform. The intern will contribute to software development, assist in designing and testing code, and participate in team activities while gaining hands-on experience.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of software features and services used at Viant
Assist with designing, implementing, testing, and documenting code under the guidance of senior engineers
Participate in code reviews, team standups, sprint planning, and technical discussions
Debug and troubleshoot issues across applications, services, or data workflows
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Platform teams to support business initiatives
Learn and apply industry best practices related to software development, scalability, performance, and reliability
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong understanding of core programming concepts and data structures
Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or JavaScript
Familiarity with basic software development tools such as Git, IDEs, and debugging tools
Exposure to backend systems, distributed systems, or data engineering concepts
Experience with SQL, APIs, cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), or containerization tools
Interest in ad tech, data platforms, machine learning, or large-scale systems
Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
