Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist

Responsibilities

Source, attract, and engage qualified CDL and non-CDL driver candidates using multiple channels including job boards, social media, referrals, etc
Deliver exceptional customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders
Partner with management to create clear, accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
Manage job postings, advertisements, and recruiting campaigns
Review applications, screen candidates, and recommend qualified applicants
Schedule and coordinate interviews; prepare interview materials and guide hiring managers on best practices
Participate in interviews and support consistent, compliant hiring decisions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, DOT and FMCSA regulations, and company policies
Track, analyze, and report recruiting metrics to evaluate effectiveness and improve hiring outcomes
Gather market insights to optimize outreach strategies and increase hiring conversion rates
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience (transportation or driver recruiting preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including effective negotiation techniques
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to hiring CDL and Non-CDL drivers
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or the ability to learn new recruiting technology quickly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
