Concept Development Support Technician

The Concept Development Support Technician role involves facilitating the creation, testing, and implementation of new products and services, while collaborating with various departments to bring concepts to market-ready solutions.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Responsible for completing concept development projects as defined by the Concept Development Manager
Conduct hands-on testing, gather and analyze results, prepare and organize results documentation, graphs, and presentations
Collaborate with Marketing, IT, Production, and other departments to translate concepts into market-ready solutions
Participate in training by creating procedures, training materials and training others
Operate and understand production equipment when needed for R&D purposes, including heat presses, laser cutters, digital printers, and embroidery machines
Support prototype production, testing protocols, and training related to new products or processes
Research market and global trends, materials, and emerging technologies to support ongoing innovation
Manage documentation, procedures, and version control for future reference
Participate in purchasing and assist with financial reporting for project materials and prototypes
Use Microsoft Excel and related tools for organization, data analysis, and budget tracking
Develop professional presentations and documentation for management and cross-departmental communication
Procure safety data documents and component information for items proposed for development and final products or processes
Coordinate and communicate with entities outside of Stahls’ including vendors and customers, when necessary

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Proficiency with raster/vector design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CorelDRAW Suite)
Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and related reporting and organizational tools
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and learn new technologies quickly

Preferred

degree in R&D, Business, Computer Science, or Marketing
Working knowledge of production and testing equipment for heat transfer, printing, and finishing
