Business Analyst - Asset Strategy
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Gas and Electric Asset Strategy team. This role focuses on driving data-informed decision-making and performance tracking across asset classes, including developing scorecards and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains department scorecards and dashboards to track performance against corporate KPIs and strategic objectives
Conducts benchmarking analyses comparing internal performance metrics to peer utilities
Assists in data gathering and validation to support asset strategy initiatives, including long-term planning, risk assessments, and investment prioritization
Collaborates across departments including Engineering, Operations, IT, and Finance to ensure alignment on data sources, performance metrics, and strategic priorities
Supports the development of presentations and reports for senior leadership
Assists in identifying and recommending process improvements
Helps translate complex data into actionable insights to guide asset management decisions
Recommends internal and external data procurement processes
Supports emergency storm restoration efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, STEM, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree in the aforementioned fields and 3+ years of business analyst experience. In lieu of an associates degree, a High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of business analyst experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to learn new computer software programs quickly
Outstanding analytic, problem solving and decision-making skills
Well-developed written/verbal communication skills, planning and organizational skills, and must be able to explain technical complexities to non-technical individuals
Must be able to adapt to a number and variety of assignments, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics or Data Analytics
Prior experience using Microsoft analysis tool package for statistical analysis
Significant experience performing data analysis on customer and/or operations related data
Familiarity with data gathering, data analysis and converting data into high value information for decision making
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, Access), database scripting (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL) and coding with Python for spatial analysis within ArcGIS
