Project Architect
Barnes, Pailhe & King Legal Search is seeking a Project Architect with strong experience in K–12 and Higher Education projects in California to join their San Francisco office. This role combines architectural leadership with project management responsibilities and requires direct client engagement throughout all phases of design and delivery.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key project leader with project management responsibilities, including:
Development of work plans and project budgets
Assisting in the preparation of proposals
Direct and mentor staff in design development and production
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies throughout all project phases
Prepare and present programming studies, design concepts, and client presentations
Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure project goals, budgets, and schedules are met
Qualification
Required
Licensed Architect in the State of California
7–10 years of professional experience, with a strong focus on K–12 and Higher Education projects
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
Demonstrated experience working with the Division of the State Architect (DSA)
Proven experience collaborating with School Boards, Facilities Departments, and School Bond Program Managers
Portfolio showcasing completed California education projects
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to produce high-quality architectural and presentation deliverables
Position requires in-office attendance in San Francisco
