Responsibilities
Prepares construction drawings and sketches
Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures
Initiates requisitions for field purchases
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development
Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
Qualification
Required
Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Provides technical and site support for large-scale earthmoving, excavation, and grading projects, ensuring work aligns with design plans, quality standards, and safety regulations, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring compaction/soil stability, verifying cut/fill, and producing daily progress reports to manage project foundations effectively
Interpret civil designs, provide technical guidance, and ensure work meets specifications for drainage, roads, and structures
Coordinate compaction/soil density tests, monitor site safety (HSE), manage permits, and ensure adherence to airside/site rules
Support survey teams for layout, manage material quantities, oversee subcontractor activities, and prepare work plans
Liaise with consultants, other trades (pavement, utilities), and management; prepare daily reports, inspection logs, and handover documentation
