Responsibilities
Review and prepare turfgrass images for quality and accuracy
Perform quality control visual inspections to ensure data quality standards before annotation and before model training
Maintain labeling records and database organization for current and future models
Coordinate with Turf Data Collection Team to data variety, quantity and quality goals are being met
Support documentation of labeling standards and improvements for current and future models
Assist with adjusting methods to improve turf data preparation and quality control work flow to meet business needs
Assist with analysis of future turfgrass model data needs
Participate in guiding turf data needs for different turfgrass management systems and species
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Turfgrass science, Agronomy or related field
4+ years in turfgrass management systems (e.g. golf course management, sod production, sports turfgrass facilities, lawn care)
2+ years of experience in field research project management and data quality control
Strong visual acuity and attention to detail
Strong interest in precision turfgrass management, turfgrass pest management and technology
Knowledge of IT Tools (internal software tools, smartphones) to manage communications and necessary data
Experience with annotation tools (Labelbox, CVAT, etc.)
Ability to work in an office environment with small teams
Strong team spirit with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Analytical and structural approach to work with the ability to adapt quickly to changes
Dedicated person with systematic, goal-oriented working methods
Ability to manage multiple work functions and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with clear and consistent communication
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and managing large datasets
Preferred
Preferred experience in turfgrass agronomics (i.e. weeds, diseases, golf or sports turf management)
Preferred to have 2+ years of experience in image labeling or data quality control in turfgrass systems
Interest in precision turfgrass management, turfgrass sustainability and or technology in the turfgrass industry
