Spaceport Integration Manager

Responsibilities

Function as the primary point of contact for the Range. You will be the owner of all Range requirements and safety documentation which includes regular recurring tag-ups to drive continuous progress
Function as the primary point of contact for our government customers. Manage government customer certification requirements and oversight of changes for all launch site ground systems (Starship, F9, pads, and Dragon)
Communicate the strategic direction of SpaceX including launch manifest, construction, standards, safety, and security measures to ensure effective and timely approval, support, & execution with customers and the Range
Manage conflicts that arise with tactical execution with the base and base leadership and other launch providers
Actively streamline the launch process for safe and reliable, robust, rapid and cost-effective launch by challenging requirements and typical timelines/cost

Required

Bachelor's degree
2+ years of experience leading technical process improvements and/or serving in a technical project management capacity in an aerospace environment
2+ years of experience leading teams, projects, or people
Must be willing to pursue a clearance if not already cleared with Top Secret or Top Secret SCI
Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations
Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices, vendors, and customers as necessary; occasional travel, approximately 5%
Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain, ice
Ability to work in extreme environments – heat, cold, rain, fumes, odors, and noise
Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Professional experience with launch vehicle integration or pad operations
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience successfully negotiating complex agreements or issues to resolution
Demonstrated technical aptitude for the products you have supported
Regulatory compliance experience, specifically with tailoring requirements
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
Highly detail oriented, diligent, hard working
