VT Group (VTG) is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architecture Modeler to join their team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. The role involves creating a model of the client's IT enterprise architecture and collaborating with IT Enterprise Architects and stakeholders to implement a Model-Based IT Enterprise Architecture.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a model-based IT enterprise architecture

Work closely with IT Enterprise Architects to determine model views and gather needed data

Work with partners that are not familiar with modeling and help them translate their IT architecture into a model

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content providers, content consumers, developers, engineers, and business analysts

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Required

Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

B.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (M.S. preferred); and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Proficient in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Model-Based Systems Engineering, with proven experience translating concepts into SysML or UML

Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., UAF, TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF)

Excellent communication skills for technical writing, oral briefings, and executive-level products

Ability to consider IT architecture issues from many different perspectives

Passion for staying up to date with industry trends and advancements
