Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing Business Systems team, including analysts, configuration specialists, QA, and vendor-supported developers
Serve as the primary technology partner for business units, translating requirements into actionable roadmaps
Oversee configuration, customization, and integration of core insurance platforms and ancillary systems
Drive agile delivery practices, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security standards while championing automation and user experience enhancements
Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and resource planning
Collaborate across technology and analytics teams to align infrastructure and data strategies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Eight (8) years of progressive experience in insurance business systems or application leadership
Five (5) or more years managing software teams
OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
May be required to possess a valid state of Florida driver's license
Insurance industry designations or trade certifications as required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
Deep experience with modern insurance core systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
Property & casualty product knowledge (homeowners strongly preferred)
Agile/Scrum certification and large-scale implementation experience
Experience with leading project management and organizational tools (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, etc.)
