2+ years expKelly Services is looking for a Field Services Technician specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role will involve the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of BESS units across the United States, with a primary focus on the Southern California area.

Responsibilities
Perform field service operations on BESS equipment to ensure high availability and reliability
Install, commission, and start up BESS systems at customer sites
Troubleshoot and repair faults in battery systems, inverters, and associated control equipment
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
Inspect physical installation of BESS systems including wiring, terminations, grounding, and mechanical integrity
Program and configure system parameters to ensure proper integration and performance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational anomalies
Maintain accurate service logs and documentation of findings, repairs, and performance metrics
Assist in the development and refinement of maintenance protocols and safety procedures
Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Provide timely and detailed service reports to internal teams and clients
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with inverters and battery energy storage systems
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%) throughout the U.S
Preferred
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent industry certifications preferred
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy service sector is a plus
Solid understanding of power electronics, electrical schematics, and control systems
Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus (serial and Ethernet)
Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation
