The role involves managing transportation operations during overnight hours, answering phone calls, coordinating driver schedules, and monitoring transportation-related systems across multiple hub locations.

Responsibilities

Maintain security awareness of our Richmond, VA headquarters and regional Hubs through security camera feeds

Ensuring alarm systems have been properly activated and lock up procedures have been followed and verified

Answer phone calls from drivers, customers, and other team members, providing timely updates and resolving issues as needed

Monitor and manage the transportation dispatching system, ensuring that all vehicles are on schedule and routes are optimized

Coordinate and dispatch drivers for deliveries, pick-ups, and emergency reroutes as needed

Monitor real-time transportation data, including GPS, traffic conditions, and fuel levels, to ensure the timely delivery of goods

Respond to delays, accidents, or other transportation-related incidents, ensuring proper documentation and prompt resolution

Communicate with drivers, dispatch teams, and customers to ensure clear and timely information flow

Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities, including driver status, vehicle locations, and delivery times

Resolve logistical issues by coordinating with other teams or third parties (e.g., repair services, traffic authorities)

Follow company policies and safety protocols to ensure compliance with transportation regulations
