Responsibilities
Circuit Design: Design and develop power electronics including AC-DC/DC-AC converters, isolated power supplies, and custom magnetics (transformers/inductors)
Mixed-Signal Engineering: Apply subject matter expertise in analog components (op-amps, filters, BJTs/FETs) and digital logic (microprocessors, state machines, and memory)
PCB Development: Create schematics and layouts for high-reliability Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) using Altium designer
Communication Protocols: Implement and integrate digital protocols such as ARINC-429, CAN, I²C, SPI, and RS-232/485
Testing & Validation: Perform hands-on lab verification of prototypes to ensure hardware performance meets design specifications
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Altium PCB software is mandatory
Strong background in motor control theory and power/energy conservation
Deep knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464, 704, 810 and/or DO-160
Experience designing per DO-254 (hardware) and DO-178 (software) DAL objectives
Preferred
Familiarity with SAE ARP4754 or ARP4761
