Sales Account Manager - Warehousing, 3PL and Logistics
Confidential company is seeking a high-performance Sales Account Manager with deep experience in third-party logistics (3PL) operations. The role involves growing, managing, and protecting a portfolio of logistics clients while designing and supporting complex warehouse and fulfillment solutions.

Responsibilities
Actively hunt, prospect, and close new 3PL customers across e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, and distribution
Generate leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, site visits, and industry networking
Identify customer supply chain pain points and translate them into tailored logistics solutions
Own deal strategy, pricing models, margin targets, and contract negotiations
Design and sell solutions covering:
Inbound receiving, outbound shipping, e-commerce fulfillment
Put-away, slotting, pallet/case/each picking
Cross-docking, transloading, flow-through distribution
Kitting, light assembly, packaging, labeling, RFID
Cartonization, palletization, depalletization
Short-term surge storage and long-term warehousing
Customized racking and seasonal inventory programs
Returns processing, inspection, refurbishment, restocking, salvage, recycling, destruction
Develop customer profiles, SOPs, volume forecasts, and operational playbooks
Lead new client launches and ensure smooth handoff into operations
Serve as the single accountable owner for assigned customers
Ensure the client profile, service model, and pricing structure are followed
Monitor service levels, volume shifts, storage utilization, and profitability
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across warehousing, transportation, and reverse logistics
Proactively intervene if performance, margin, or operational scope drifts
Work onsite with warehouse leadership, WMS/TMS teams, and customer service
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for:
Inventory accuracy
Picking efficiency
Space utilization
Labor optimization
Cost reduction
Help resolve issues related to inventory visibility, cycle counts, system integration, and order flow
Leverage WMS, TMS, and inventory visibility portals to:
Track SKU-level inventory
Monitor order flow and fill rates
Identify exceptions and risks
Use data to support customer QBRs, renewals, and growth proposals
Qualification
Required
5+ years in 3PL, logistics, or contract warehousing sales
Proven track record of closing mid-market to enterprise logistics accounts
Selling multi-service warehouse and fulfillment solutions
Hands-on knowledge of WMS & TMS platforms
SKU-level inventory visibility
E-commerce and retail fulfillment workflows
Peak-season surge planning and seasonal inventory management
Experience selling storage, handling, fulfillment, and value-added services
Reverse logistics and returns management
