Responsibilities
Provide strategic and technical leadership across multiple technology initiatives, managing teams experienced in distributed microservices and modern full-stack architectures
Foster a culture of innovation by staying current with emerging technologies, experimenting with new tools, and contributing to internal and external engineering communities
Mentor and develop engineers, while occasionally reviewing or contributing to code to ensure high technical standards
Partner closely with product and digital leaders to design and deliver resilient cloud-based platforms that positively impact millions of users
Leverage a broad technology stack including modern programming languages, databases, container platforms, and public cloud services to build and scale solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
6+ years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
4+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams
Preferred
Master's degree in a technical discipline
9+ years of experience with one or more major programming languages (Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js)
Strong background in big data technologies and distributed computing platforms
Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, or similar systems
Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and production ML systems
Proven track record building and scaling data pipelines and ML-driven solutions in production environments
Prior leadership experience managing teams focused on machine learning or advanced analytics
3+ years of experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent)
Extensive involvement with open-source frameworks and communities
7+ years of people management experience
Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
