Operational Key Account Manager - Automotive
Elsdon Group is a market-leading global Air & Sea Freight Forwarder known for delivering complex logistics solutions. They are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead and grow key client relationships in the Automotive sector, focusing on strategic account management and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Automotive clients, with full P&L accountability
Develop long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers
Identify and execute new business opportunities within existing accounts and target prospects
Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and solution design in collaboration with operations and product teams
Drive Air & Sea freight volumes while promoting value-added and multimodal solutions
Act as the escalation point for key accounts, ensuring service excellence and customer retention
Monitor market trends within the Automotive sector to support strategic growth initiatives
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in Air & Sea Freight Forwarding, ideally within a global forwarder
Strong background managing Automotive accounts (OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, or related supply chains)
Demonstrated success in account growth, revenue development, and client retention
Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value contracts
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating across global teams
