Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Product Development and Quality Control Director to formulate products across various dosage forms—liquids, softgels, capsules, and powders
Partner with purchasing and management teams to source raw materials and evaluate cost-effectiveness
Maintain precise project records and coordinate with QA for documentation
Conduct QC analytical testing using GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS
Provide training and support to lab personnel; manage lab resources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address product and ingredient issues
Oversee bench-top, pilot, and manufacturing scale-up batches
Maintain and sanitize lab equipment
Comply with company policies, SOPs, and cGMPs
Qualification
Required
BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition/Dietetics, or related field required
3 + years' product development experience in dietary supplements (various formats)
Experience in product and formula development & familiarity with natural product chemistry
Strong knowledge of ingredient and formulations costing methods
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) & regulations for dietary supplements (DSHEA) preferred
Working knowledge of nutritional products preferred
