Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Application Gateways, Private Links, and ExpressRoute

Architect and manage AKS clusters, focusing on network policies, ingress controllers, service meshes, and hybrid connectivity

Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to integrate networking and container orchestration strategies seamlessly

Troubleshoot complex networking issues in Azure and Kubernetes environments

Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform

Provide guidance on best practices for secure and scalable AKS deployments

Document architecture decisions, implementation plans, and operational procedures

Mentor and train internal networking personnel in Azure and Kubernetes networking as time permits

Required

5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure networking services

3+ years of experience managing AKS and Kubernetes clusters in production environments

Strong understanding of container networking, DNS, load balancing, and service discovery

Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-700, AZ-104, AZ-305)

Experience with Kubernetes networking tools

Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards
