Responsibilities
Building the retrieval infrastructure using vector databases (Pinecone/Weaviate) and sophisticated re-ranking models
Developing 'Self-RAG' architectures that cross-check every AI output against a law firm's proprietary 'Truth' library
Fine-tuning embeddings specifically for complex 'legalese' that standard models struggle to interpret
Moving beyond Q&A to build agents that autonomously research, draft, and flag risks
Qualification
Required
4+ years in ML/NLP, with a 'battle-tested' portfolio of RAG systems deployed in production
Expert-level Python, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and deep knowledge of LLMs (GPT-4o, Claude 3.5, and open-source Llama 3/4)
You treat data security as a first-class citizen
You are obsessed with evaluation frameworks (Ragas, TruLens) to prove your systems are bulletproof
Candidates must have full right to work in the US
Preferred
Prior experience in FinTech, Legal Tech, or high-compliance environments where precision is non-negotiable
