Configuration Manager

They are seeking a Configuration Manager to support the Air Force Product Lifecycle Management Capability Support Office at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, focusing on configuration management and change control for the USAF’s Enterprise PLM Business Tool.

Responsibilities
Responsible for Configuration Management (CM), change control, configuration identification, status accounting, and configuration audits of AF-PLM developmental and operational systems
Maintain version control of all AF-PLM Teamcenter technical artifacts, tools and processes and support configuration identification, control, reporting, build, installation, and delivery of both internally configured and externally purchased commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products
Coordinate with the customer and project sprint teams to maintain configuration paperwork in accordance with established AF-PLM change control and release processes
Maintain records from approved requirements through design, development, test, and deployment for each software release
Participate in Government reviews / meetings / working groups as applicable and in Government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues
Review programmatic data to ensure that deliverables meet technical and programmatic requirements
Provide and maintain CM of all relevant system artifacts, e.g., documentation, source code, build files, scripts, etc., to allow the government the capability to build and release a working copy of the system to the appropriate production environment
Support the development and integration of configuration management and technical data management processes into acquisition, sustainment, contracting strategies, and supporting documentation
Develop, execute and audit Change Management Plans and Strategies including creation of comprehensive plans to guide the change process. These plans outline steps, timelines, and communication strategies
Ensure creation and maintenance of configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
Maintain AF-PLM CM artifacts across CM repositories and requirement management tools
Support and manage Configuration Control Board (CCB) Charter development and the administration of CCB activities
Participate in cross-functional change control boards meetings such as, but not limited to, Configuration Control Board (CCB), Change Control Board (CCB), Functional Review Board (FRB), Requirements Review Board (RRB), etc., to record and manage proposed and approved changes
Identify Potential Risks and Challenges Associated with Change Initiatives
Proactively identify risks that may hinder successful implementation of a change management process
Develop mitigation tactics to address these risks
Create Communication Plans to ensure that CSO team members are informed about upcoming CM process changes, their purpose, and expected outcomes
Communicate CM input to project events such as weekly status meetings, change control boards, release review boards, AF-PLM governance etc
Provide Training and Support when implementing new change management systems or processes, create training materials and conduct sessions. Train new AF-PLM CSO personnel on our CM processes
Track and Report Issues: Monitor progress of CM changes, address any issues, and report on the status of change initiatives, e.g., Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Change Requests (CRs), and Discrepancy Reports (DRs) / Problem Reports (PRs), throughout system development & sustainment lifecycle
Define Success Metrics: Establish measurable criteria to evaluate the success of CM change efforts
