5+ years expKaizen Approach is currently looking to hire a Database Engineer (DE) to provide technical expertise in database design, development, and implementation. In this role, you will develop relational and/or Object-Oriented databases and manage data flow and retrieval while ensuring optimal design and supporting system optimization and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Must have the ability to provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage, retrieval, data flow, and analysis
Must possess the ability to develop relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software
Must be capable of supporting the development of both long and short-term requirements for database administration and design
Must have the ability to assist in developing database structures that align with the overall architecture of the system under development
Must possess the ability to translate a set of requirements and data into usable documents, including creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros
Must be capable of leading the development of database structures that fit into the overall system architecture, balancing data volumes, number of users, response times, and security
Must have the ability to assist in the analysis, evaluation, and development of system improvements, optimization, and maintenance efforts
Must have five (5) years of experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Must possess a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or have five (5) years of DBE experience as a substitute
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required
