They are seeking a Contracts Specialist II Lead to provide strategic oversight, manage complex contracts, and foster staff development within their Procurement Team.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a small team of professional staff, fostering growth and excellence
Manage complex contracts, including writing, negotiating, awarding, and administering agreements that require market research and cost analysis
Champion innovation by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices
Collaborate across the organization, ensuring proactive communication and alignment with stakeholders

Required

Three years of experience working with governmental contracts or experience assisting a contracts administrator in contract preparation
Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position

Preferred

Professional certification in Procurement or Project Management
Hands-on experience with electronic procurement systems
Experience developing and delivering training to staff
Proven experience in contract monitoring and administration
