Responsibilities

Comprehensive Rotational Training: With mentorship from an experienced Activity Programs Director, you'll gain practical experience in all areas of our community's Activity Programming
You'll learn to effectively manage drivers and activity staff, plan and implement engaging activities that promote resident well-being (including physical, social, and creative programs), coordinate special events and holiday decorations, and cultivate a network of volunteers and entertainers, all while upholding Belmont Village's mission and values
Structured Mentorship and Feedback: Your progress will be supported through regular communication with the Program Administrator and Executive Director Preceptor
This includes monthly meetings, ongoing feedback, self-evaluations, and progress reports, ensuring you receive the guidance and support you need to succeed
Career Advancement: Upon successful completion of the 4-month training program and with final approval, you will be promoted to an Activity Programs Director position, based on the company's needs and your demonstrated abilities

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree from an accredited institution required
Proficient in workplace technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, and video conferencing, and the ability to rapidly learn other new technological systems
Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24 hour operation including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
Participants must be open and willing to relocate following the training for their first assignment as Activity Program Coordinator to any market in which Belmont Village operates

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Prior experience in activity program development or facilitation (preferably with an adult or senior population) is preferred
Prior experience in the fields of education, social work, theater, and/or event planning is preferred
