This role is responsible for managing outsourced accounting and tax engagements for small to mid-sized businesses, blending client service, technical expertise, and strategic advisory.

Responsibilities
Serve as the main contact for assigned clients, delivering proactive and responsive service
Understand client needs and provide tailored accounting and advisory solutions
Independently manage multiple engagements, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and AP/AR
Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and workpaper preparation
Prepare business and individual tax returns for outsourced clients
Identify tax planning opportunities and deliver strategic advice
Suggest new service offerings and process improvements
Participate in business development and networking
Use cloud tools such as QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, FinOptimal, Fathom and others
Assist clients with technology implementation and workflow optimization
Maintain high standards through quality reviews and documentation
Work closely with partners and Senior Managers cross-functional teams
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
Lead onboarding efforts for new clients
Contribute to special projects such as forecasting, budgeting, and process redesign
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license or EA credential required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, with tax and client-facing responsibilities
Proficient in cloud based accounting platforms QuickBooks Online experience required
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Demonstrated entrepreneurial thinking and community involvement
Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred
Public accounting background and familiarity with small/mid-size businesses
