Responsibilities
Conduct tax audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
Review and analyze tax returns, financial statements, and supporting documentation
Identify errors, omissions, and potential compliance risks
Prepare audit workpapers, reports, and written findings
Assist with resolving audit issues, appeals, and inquiries
Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and audit procedures
Participate in special projects and other audit-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax auditing, tax compliance, or public accounting
Knowledge of federal and/or state tax laws and audit procedures
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax or accounting software
Preferred
CPA, EA or progress towards preferred
