Database Administrator - Advanced
Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior UC4/Automic Application Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator to support complex enterprise scheduling and system administration projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in UC4/Automic, Linux, and automation scripting, along with excellent collaboration skills to work across diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Provide administration and operational support for UC4/Automic enterprise scheduling applications
Develop monitoring and reporting solutions to analyze job runs and batch environments
Perform triage of production incidents and conduct root cause analysis for job failures
Manage UC4/Automic upgrades, migrations, and patching in production environments
Integrate UC4 with Linux, Windows, and mainframe platforms
Collaborate with scheduling teams to define standards, methods, escalation processes, and training
Design and maintain disaster recovery solutions to ensure high availability
Develop, enhance, and support automation scripts using JCL, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, and Java
Provide expertise in other enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys
Document scheduling policies, procedures, and operational practices
Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation as needed
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
5–7 years hands-on experience with UC4/Automic in Linux and Windows environments
5–7 years supporting UC4/Automic with Oracle and SQL backends
5–7 years performing UC4/Automic upgrades in production environments
5–7 years scripting/programming experience in JCL, PowerShell, Perl, and Java
2+ years experience with Control-M and Autosys scheduling tools
Strong understanding of enterprise IT development and implementation projects
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated integrity, decision-making ability, and collaboration skills in team-oriented settings
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/business field
Preferred
Experience with RedHat-based Linux environments
Advanced scripting experience with Bash
Master's degree preferred
UC4/Automic certification preferred but not required
