Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures
Leading and mentoring technical teams
Resolving complex network issues and improving network performance
Creating technical documentation, such as design documents, implementation plans, and technical notes
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 to 6 years' experience with a Masters Degree in one or more of the disciplines described
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc)
Understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation
Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs)
Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc)
Familiarity with network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN)
Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks
Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment
Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance
In-depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as routing and switching
In-depth knowledge of network security (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection)
In-depth knowledge of cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
In-depth knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN)
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Experience with creating technical documentation, such as design documents, implementation plans, and technical notes
Skills in network protocols
Routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, etc
Switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTP, etc
Preferred
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification
Advanced Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCIE
Cisco Certified Internetwork Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional
