Responsibilities
Partner with the Regional Controller to ensure the successful execution of branch accounting and operational functions
Assist in resolving accounting issues and support ongoing financial inquiries
Prepare and post job cost journal entries for multiple branches following detailed review
Review construction jobs for proper setup, including revenue recognition, change orders, and supporting documentation
Monitor and manage the change request process and track status updates
Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual job cost reporting
Track and analyze job costs and billings, including T&M and AIA billing
Review and maintain Cost in Excess and Billings in Excess schedules
Create, maintain, and update project billing rates
Support cash flow activities, including deposits, credit card processing, and cash reconciliations
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Serve as the primary point of contact for billing and sales-related questions, procedures, and project updates
Collaborate with administrative and project teams to resolve billing and sales inquiries
Manage all Time & Materials (T&M) billing processes in accordance with project schedules and timelines
Maintain and update estimating software and related documentation
Track and code credit card transactions
Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience within construction or real estate development
Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and construction billing practices
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
