Quality Director

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Corporate Director of Quality implementing organization-wide quality programs at the hospital level
Facilitates the hospital QAPI committee and prepare annual evaluations of the QAPI plan
Lead hospital-wide performance improvement projects based on on-going data assessment. Provide management and staff education as needed and service on facility committees
Implement and manage the Patient Safety Program, including incident investigations, root cause analyses, and tracking improvement opportunities
Report patient incident data and issues to corporate management and monitor performance initiatives
Manage the incident management process and track data for improvement opportunities
Coordinates the hospital’s data collection procedures and provides on-going support and education to staff regarding QAPI tools and reporting requirements; utilizes data and collaborates with leadership to set priorities and provide guidance in their development of quality improvement work plans
Serves as a resource to the medical staff, administrators and other staff including participation in root cause analyses, as indicated, to investigate potentially avoidable sentinel events. Develop and oversee systems to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure timely reporting to state and accrediting bodies
Ensure timely reporting to state and accrediting bodies
Serve as the point of contact during onsite surveys and manage Plans of Correction or Action Plans as needed
Manage and oversee the implementation of the facilities action plan when required after a survey
Define required clinical data sets in collaboration with medical staff and clinical leaders and ensure timely data entry of performance improvement and patient safety data into appropriate systems
Coordinate education and training on QAPI principles, regulatory standards and participate in Joint Commission Accreditation processes
Performs other duties and projects assigned by the facility administrator and corporate office
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field
five years of healthcare experience
3 years in behavioral health setting
Preferred
master's degree
Professional Certification (CPHQ, CPHRM, CPPS)
Licensure (RN, LMSW, LPC), if applicable, must be in good standing
