Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reports
Support audits by providing documentation and preparing schedules
Process accounts payable using Bill.com
Ensure accurate and timely accruals for expenses and revenues
Manage sales tax compliance and reporting using Avalara, including reconciliation of tax liabilities and filing returns
Reconcile Shopify transactions with accounting records and ensure proper revenue recognition
Identify and resolve accounting errors or inconsistencies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial and operational processes
Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system
Experience with Bill.com, Shopify, and Avalara
Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance
Solid understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Experience supporting financial audits
Preferred
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience with inventory and cost accounting
Knowledge of internal control frameworks and audit processes
