Responsibilities
Responsible for the staffing structure and direction of ambulatory care services in collaboration with departmental leaders, with the goal of creating and maintaining a high ‐ performing team focused on the patient/family
Collaborates with the appropriate executives and department chairs, division chiefs, hospital, and ambulatory leaders to develop programs in alignment with the organizational strategic plan
Manages the implementation and sustainability of an evidenced ‐ based, patient ‐ centered care delivery model, and incorporates same into daily operations of the Ambulatory Care practices
Ensures that practice organizational policies, state, and federal practice act(s) all appropriate professional organizations
Represents ambulatory care services on hospital ‐ based committees and initiatives, including, but not limited to, organizational and medical school quality improvement committees
Develops, implements, and ensures sustainability of ambulatory shared governance committees to support organizational strategic plan, practice professional development and improve patient outcomes
In conjunction with the Vice President Ambulatory Care and organizational leaders, develops and implements an annual operating budget that supports strategic initiatives, and facilitates the development of programs that reduce cost, improve efficiency, and achieve defined patient outcomes across ambulatory care services
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in nursing with a license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of New Jersey is required
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required or must be obtained within first two (2) years of hire
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required
Requires six (6) years of clinical nursing experience, which includes three (3) years of leadership experience within a large healthcare institution
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills; detail oriented
Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) required
Able to function independently and work flexible hours
Must be available for on ‐ call emergencies involving the facility, staff members, and/or patients
Preferred
Doctoral Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Administration, or a related field preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
