Part Time Copy Editor for Chief Elections Information Officer (CEIO)
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Copy Editor to support the Office of the Chief Elections Information Officer (CEIO) and the Communications Division. The role involves editing federal government-facing content and ensuring alignment with the EAC Style Guide while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities
Edit federal government-facing content including reports, funding notices, fact sheets, and web pages
Support review and editing of digital content, newsletters, internal communication, video scripts, and presentations
Ensure documents align with the EAC Style Guide and use plain language
Review grammar, punctuation, tone, syntax, and formatting
Collaborate with the CEIO and EAC Program Teams to ensure consistency in tone and voice
Submit monthly status reports detailing work completed, issues, and upcoming tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years of equivalent experience in editing and writing
Expertise in copy-editing, formatting, and Microsoft Office (especially Word and PowerPoint)
Familiarity with GPO Style Manual, APA, or Chicago Manual of Style
Proven ability to work independently and under deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must comply with security and background checks as outlined in the solicitation
No government-furnished equipment – candidate must provide their own tools and software
Must complete suitability screening and adhere to all confidentiality and information protection clauses
