Responsibilities
Review hardware and electrical designs from a security and privacy perspective
Validate privacy-critical hardware behavior, such as microphone power cut-offs and isolation paths
Perform hands-on hardware security testing on prototype and pre-production devices
Use lab equipment to identify physical security risks and vulnerabilities
Sample devices to ensure manufacturing and security compliance
Participate in virtual design and compliance reviews with global suppliers (primarily APAC)
Collaborate with internal engineering, security, and compliance teams
Document findings and communicate risks clearly to leadership and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in hardware security, embedded security, or device security
Strong electrical engineering background with experience reviewing circuit designs and PCB layouts
Knowledge of hardware threat modeling, secure boot, and embedded cryptography (RSA, AES, HMAC; PQC a plus)
Experience with manufacturing security processes, including secure provisioning and production flows
Hands-on experience testing, debugging, or assessing hardware security
Proficiency with lab equipment such as: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic analyzers, Microscopes, Soldering tools
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience writing technical documentation, risk assessments, and reports for leadership
Strong communication skills and experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments
Experience collaborating with external partners or suppliers
