Responsibilities

Perform product design and troubleshooting exercises of high complexity requiring extensive research and analysis
Support developers from other teams integrating with the system
Lead system design, specification development, program logic, flow-charting, testing, debugging, and documentation
Make complex design decisions for development teams
Oversee moderate to highly complex programming tasks and review development documentation
Analyze problems and recommend effective solutions
Act as a key contributor in client/technology interactions for solution development
Interface with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams on strategic designs and initiatives
Lead troubleshooting of complex issues in development and production environments
Mentor junior engineers and assign development tasks while serving as an SME

Required

5+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, and web/internet-based programming (client and server side)
Strong experience with OOA/OOD, distributed systems, real-time processing, relational databases, and messaging systems
Expertise in concurrency, multi-threading, scaling, Java Garbage Collection, and performance tuning
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns (GoF)
Experience with agile methodologies and test-driven development
Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments
Familiarity with build, deploy, and test automation tools (Ant, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, TeamCity, Junit, TestNG, JaCoCo)
Experience developing APIs and frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required

Preferred

Experience with application development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, JSF
Experience with compilers or DSLs preferred
