Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Corporate Treasury's Collateral Management team. The role involves managing collateral for various financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Manage the calculation, collection and posting of variation and initial margin / independent amount for derivative transactions in the Collateral Management System
Ensures collateral posted to Capital One by counterparties is maintained in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and legal agreement terms, including appropriate segregation, if applicable
Monitors the internal initial margin threshold with each counterparty to ensure we establish swap documentation timely
Identifies margin discrepancies, manages valuation dispute process and related reporting
Recommend and implement process changes to improve operational efficiency and decrease risks
Developing and maintaining productive relationships with key internal and external partners
Support all corporate collateral management programs and daily, monthly and quarterly reporting in accordance with internal controls and policies
Performs reconciliation of collateral custody accounts
Support Internal/External Audit requests
Support ad hoc project-related initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
At least 2 years of experience in Audit OR Accounting OR Finance OR Capital Markets OR Treasury OR a combination
Preferred
3+ years of experience in Capital Markets or Capital Markets Compliance
Experience using G-Suite products
Experience coding experience (Python, SQL, etc.)
Experience demonstrating an understanding of derivatives and mortgage-backed securities
Strong communication and analytical skills
Experience creating presentations and explaining complex information to different audiences
