Quality Control Technician
Ravago Manufacturing Americas is focused on manufacturing and quality control, and they are seeking a Quality Control Technician. The technician will be responsible for conducting analyses of materials used in production, maintaining laboratory documentation, and ensuring compliance with good laboratory practices.

Responsibilities
Practices the principles of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines and follows established cGMP practices
Conducts preliminary, in-process, and final analysis of materials that are used at the production facility
Conducts pre-acceptance inspections of incoming materials
Obtains samples and performs incoming analysis of materials that are utilized in the Company’s packaging operations
Maintains laboratory procedure documentation that supports all analytical activity performed by the laboratory
Performs calculations to determine the amount of raw materials required for production batches and assigns lot numbers to those batches
Performs environmental monitoring sampling as required
Performs cleaning and sanitation verification checks (includes both equipment and chemical concentration checks)
Is familiar with the operation, repair and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation utilized within the laboratory to ensure the highest level of equipment reliability and operational effectiveness
Assists the QC Supervisor in organizing and storing retain samples, and the disposal of laboratory waste
Communicates with the QC Supervisor regarding laboratory stock items and orders laboratory supplies as necessary
Assists Production Manager with the Customer Specification Review and Supplier Change Notices processes
Assists with Customer, Regulatory, and Supplier Audits as necessary as well as other duties as assigned
Assists the Production Manager with batch documentation reviews
Assists the Production Manager with filing and scanning completed document packets (e.g., shipment and receipt packets)
Conducts all laboratory activities according to good laboratory practices (GLP) and complies with established standards of operation
Keeps up with updated knowledge and operational expertise on each laboratory instrument located at this facility
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and technical operation of the QC Laboratory located at Mays packaging facility
Conduct preliminary, in-process, and final analysis of materials that are used at the production facility
Familiar with all aspects of the sampling and testing processes
Capable of working under minimal supervision
Conduct all laboratory activities according to good laboratory practices (GLP) and comply with established standards of operation

Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in business management or related field, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Computer skills required: (Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software); WIN system; Warehouse Management Systems; ERP system
1 plus years of experience handling chemical/hazardous materials
