The General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer will oversee all legal, compliance, and risk management matters, providing strategic legal counsel to the executive leadership team while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, tax-exempt status, and nonprofit regulations

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including corporate partnerships, donation agreements, vendor contracts, and licensing agreements

Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on governance best practices, fiduciary responsibilities, and corporate legal matters

Oversee litigation, dispute resolution, and risk management strategies in collaboration with outside counsel

Develop and implement a robust compliance program to ensure adherence to nonprofit and corporate laws, including IRS regulations, data privacy laws, and corporate social responsibility guidelines

Ensure Good360 complies with international laws and regulations related to product distribution, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief efforts

Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments that may impact the organization, providing proactive guidance on risk mitigation strategies

Lead internal investigations related to legal, compliance, or ethical concerns

Ensure ethical business practices align with Good360’s mission and values

Establish policies and training programs to promote compliance awareness among staff and stakeholders

Work closely with internal teams to maintain compliance with donor intent, supply chain integrity, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives
