The Purchase Wholesale Clerk will handle many facets of the sales side of the business including dealer trades, vehicle inventory and reporting, ensuring precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Retail
Responsibilities
Receives and processes wholesale contracts and submits information to lenders
Collect pay-offs for wholesalers and signs over title
Posts and reconciles wholesale accounts and prepares receivable schedules
Reports and maintains communication status of missing documents, funds, or titles
Manages list of all outstanding title work
Reviews and posts all purchase documents for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and fees
Prepares tag and title documents for purchased vehicles
Actively participate in all department meetings as necessary
Processes trade-ins, voids and unwind deals
Prepares and posts daily deposit of funds collected by the dealership for sales, service and parts
Responsible for posting of Inventory Invoices daily
Provide receptionist coverage on an as needed basis
Occasional photo/social media projects assigned
Assists the business office and performs other administrative duties, as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with car dealership or office environment required
A high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts
Organization and ability to learn systems required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effectively able to communicate with guests, team members and other PMG dealerships via email, phone, or in person
Attention to detail and follow up with team members, other PMG dealerships and guests
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain best practices
Must have a valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge of basic dealership policies and lending institution procedures preferred
