Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities
Process accounts payable batches, handling a volume of 50-100 invoices weekly
Verify invoices against purchase orders when exceeding specified dollar amounts
Enter direct payments into the accounting system accurately and promptly
Post journal entries from spreadsheets into the Great Plains accounting software
Prepare and issue checks once payment vouchers have been approved
Ensure proper account coding and invoice classification to maintain financial accuracy
Manage ACH transactions and oversee automated payment processes
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows
Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in accounts payable and bookkeeping roles
Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing
Proficiency in handling ACH transactions and check runs
Familiarity with Great Plains Accounting software
Ability to manage high-volume invoice processing efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
