Ocular Image Analyst
University of Utah Health Research is seeking an Ocular Image Analyst to perform grading of ophthalmic images from clinical research studies. The role involves evaluating digital images, preparing grading reports, and assisting in quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
Grade images according to Reading Center protocols
Enter grading data into an electronic database
Provide feedback to the Senior Reader, Project Manager, and study sites regarding the quality of images submitted
Help to certify study site technicians and photographers
Perform study site technician and photographer evaluations and prepare evaluation reports
Contribute to quality improvement efforts by substantially assisting with revisions to assigned grading and imaging protocols
Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in the field and recommend modifications to existing systems as necessary to improve quality and efficiency
Assist all UREAD staff members as necessary to meet the needs of the various studies
Help to develop grade forms and grading work instructions
Participate in an on-call schedule as needed based on project requirements
Might be required to work outside of traditional business hours
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, Education, Public Health, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); plus 2 years related experience
Demonstrated effective communications skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
Requires the ability to use basic statistical and qualitative methods to analyze, interpret, and report on data
Strong attention to detail and good observation skills
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description

Effective time management
Strong computer skills including proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel
Legible handwriting
