Responsibilities
Program multi axis lathes and 4 axis mills
Use Mastercam CAM software package to plan processes and develop fixturing, tooling and machine programs
Keep programming and design software updated
Provide simple and complex written and spoken communication links
Review Processes within the department and monitor on a continuous basis for effectiveness and possible improvements
Schedule, track, and monitor projects
3D modeling
Participate in quoting machined parts
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
3 years of Programming and 5 years machining experience
Proficient in mid-level programming including 3D, surfacing, canned cycles, dynamic, transforms and high speed
Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code
Proficient with GD&T
Experience machining a variety of metal alloys including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to feel, handle, or grab; reach, pull, push, and lift with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be in a stationary position; move within the facilities, constantly operate machining equipment and tools, inspect surroundings and equipment, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder, communicate with others, detect odors, and transport equipment up to 50+ pounds
High noise level associated with a manufacturing facility
Preferred
Professional development and Technical/trade school training strongly preferred
Experience with Inventor, Solidworks, NCSimul or other CAD/CAM or simulation software strongly preferred
Excellent problem solving and conceptual skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional experience with plastics such as teflon a plus
Experience in semiconductor industry and Copy Exact a plus
