Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis
Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings
Assist in case preparation and strategy
Represent clients in court proceedings, including motions and jury trial
Sign up prospective clients, sharing “on call” duty with other attorneys and team members
Collaborate with other team attorneys and support staff
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Washington and local bar
2 to 3 years of experience in criminal defense (prosecutor experience a plus)
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for criminal law and advocating for clients
Preferred
Spanish speaking a plus
Knowledge of case management software (i.e. Clio, Filevine) helpful
