Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety strategies, SSMPs, PESHEs, and Environmental Hazard Analyses

Plan, execute, and document safety analyses per MIL-STD-882 and program needs

Develop and manage system safety processes and products (for example, SSMP, PESHE, Safety Releases, hazard analyses)

Identify and communicate risks, hazards, and deficiencies in procedures, design, and training

Coordinate with government, FFRDC, and contractor teammates to meet safety objectives

Support program planning and reviews across acquisition phases
