Scientific Project and Alliance Manager
The Allen Institute is dedicated to advancing bioscience and improving human health through open science and collaboration. They are seeking a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager to drive systems neuroscience projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams while managing project deliverables and fiscal responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Drive, coordinate, and support the scientific goals of AIND projects
Create, maintain, and disseminate project deliverables and timelines, using project management best practices and tools
Ensure the successful execution of project deliverables by working with cross-functional teams through planning and execution phases
Work with Project Coordinators to support the scientific and dissemination goals of the projects
Provide an efficient and nimble collaborative environment to manage internal and external project team communication and collaboration
Ensure fiscal management of the project
Organize internal and external project reviews
Develop applications for external funding
Facilitate efficient communication between scientific and administrative groups
Work with the Scientific Program team to develop project management best practices
Qualification
Required
PhD in biological sciences, with a strong preference towards neuroscience domain knowledge; or an equivalent combination of degree and experience
1 year of project management experience in a scientific or technical environment
Preferred
PhD degree in biology, neuroscience, biomedical science, or equivalent combination of degree and experience
5+ years of experience in project management, beyond an academic laboratory/postdoctoral setting
Formal project management training and/or PMP certification
Experience navigating complex group dynamics, and working with scientific, engineering and administrative stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to multitask amongst multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced ability to translate scientific and technical subject matter into concise, clear communications that are understood by technical and non-technical leaders and constituents
Experience with competitive external funding applications (federal and private) including familiarity with the budget process and relevant compliance and post-award reporting requirements
Working knowledge in neuroscience, in vivo neurophysiology, databases, Python programming
