They are seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Architect, Hardware to work with product and design teams to deliver a robust architecture, conduct simulations, and own design trade-offs to guide engineering decisions.

Responsibilities
Work with the Product and Design teams to deliver a robust, single fault tolerant architecture
Create operation models and run simulations to ensure optimal component sizing and specifications for electrical and thermal systems
Conduct DFMEA to identify design gaps and propose solutions
Own design trade-offs and cost analyses to guide engineering decisions
Build a team to own and deliver detailed requirements for Design teams
Qualification
Required
Technical degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent industry experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields
5+ years of experience in power electronics design
Architected a high volume (100k+ units) product
Proficient with simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink, PSCAD
Strong understanding of fundamental physics including electrical, mechanical, and thermodynamics
Able to use scripting languages to create and test models
Must have excellent communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally
Preferred
Experience working in the Energy sector preferred
